Concept C · For a parent choosing a tutor
Choose by how they explain, then book a time you can actually make
With no reviews yet, the main trust signal is the tutor's own words. We start from your child's goal, and show times in both time zones.

Alex Morgan
Uses visual examples, guided practice and encouraging feedback.
Ask the tutor: how would you explain why 1/2 and 2/4 are the same amount?
Alex's answer (sample text)
I would fold a strip of paper in half, then fold it in half again. Same strip, same shaded part, more pieces. Then I would ask the student to explain it back to me in their own words before we write any numbers.
Every tutor answers this question. It shows how they think, and you can compare answers.
What a first month usually looks like
Short, regular lessons tend to work best: about 30 minutes, a few times a week, for up to ten weeks. Alex's sessions are 45 minutes; you can ask for a different pattern when you request a time.
Reviews
None yet Alex is new here. You can ask for a free 20-minute intro chat first. Reviews appear only after a completed lesson.
Ask Alex for a time
Who is the lesson for?
Ava Brooks, Year 7. Choose a different child
Sending does not book anything or charge you. Alex picks a time or suggests another.

What happens next
- Alex replies with one of your times, or suggests another. Alex's profile says replies usually come within a day.
- You confirm. Nothing is charged because there is no payment on this site.
- The lesson appears in your child's week and in the weekly letter.
You can cancel until Alex accepts. After that, the tutor's cancellation terms apply, shown before you confirm.
If Alex cannot do any of your times
Alex suggested another time You will see the new time in both time zones, and you can accept it, ask for another, or go back to the list. Your goal sentence stays filled in so you do not retype it.
- Does a tutor's own answer to a real teaching question help a parent choose more than a star rating would?
- Do dual time zones remove missed or mis-booked lessons?
- Is an intro chat the right first step, or do parents want to book a lesson straight away?
Needs a decision: the free 20-minute intro, reply-time wording and cancellation terms are proposals, not existing features. In the sample data both tutors have identical descriptions, so this concept only works if each tutor writes something real. Not built: sending, availability, review prompts, time-zone conversion beyond the examples shown.
